When someone is diagnosed with cancer, the feelings of isolation and confusion can be overwhelming. Candidly, it can also be down-right terrifying… and that’s an understatement. Although you hope no one ever has to go through a cancer diagnosis, it can help to be able to speak to someone whose been where you are… and even won their battle.
Recently @Larryl_CTC and @JonBurg both told me about a really cool new website called IHadCancer.com. IHadCancer is an FREE, online social networking site where members can communicate with one another and lend support to each other. And you can specifically search for others by zip code, age, sex, type of cancer, year of diagnosis as well as where they are in the process- cancer survivor, currently undergoing treatment or caregiver.
Here’s the dealio (as my daughter always says)…
Have a question? Get answers from those who’ve been in your shoes. Have knowledge? Help someone struggling with cancer. And I LOVE this… you can even send “Cancer” a message… literally. My message to cancer…. “F*** U!” Check out IHadCancer.com.
