The Day I Found Out

The Day I Found Out

I will never forget the day we found out that Alan had a cancer… both back in March of 2000 and again in the summer of 2009.  These were two of the scariest days of our lives.  Our hearts literally stopped beating as a million thoughts ran through our minds.  For starters, “How the F%^# did this happen?”; “Why us?”; “How will we tell our family and friends?” and “Will Alan be OK?”

I just learned about a really cool and inspirational website called TheDayIFoundOut.com.

Here’s the dealio (as my daughter always says)...

TheDayIFoundOut shares inspiring videos from people discussing the day they found out they had cancer.  For recently diagnosed patients & caregivers, watching these videos can be a source of tremendous comfort (knowing that you’re not alone) and hope.  TheDayIFoundOut is “a place where people with hope to spare can share it with those who need it most.”

If you know someone who has been newly diagnosed with cancer, please send them to TheDayIFoundOut.com to hear from someone else whose been exactly where they are now.  And to share a “day I found out” story, click HERE for instructions on how to create and submit your video story.
