Amazing Resource for Brain Cancer Patients

Amazing Resource for Brain Cancer Patients

I just learned about Voices Against Brain Cancer (VABC), an incredible organization completely devoted to educating patients about brain cancer and fundraising for brain tumor research.  Check them out… they have tons a GREAT info on their site to help anyone affected by brain cancer.  Here’s just a few of the amazing resources I found on the VABC website…

Raise Your Voice Program, an extremely helpful, up-to-date manual on brain cancer covering everything you need to know from diagnosis to treatment to support.  Candidly, I wish this sort of manual existed for each of the different cancers. How amazing that would be!, a comprehensive & current listing of clinical trials & noteworthy treatments & novel approaches for brain tumor patients & caregivers.  Virtual Trials has also created a FREE online 48 page Brain Tumor Guide for the Newly Diagnosed.

To help eliminate transportation barriers, VABC has collaborated with Patient Airlift Services (PALS) to provide unlimited FREE flights to brain cancer patients & their caregivers.  There is absolutely no limit on the number of FREE flights that PALS will take you on… for more information, visit or call PALS directly at (888) 818-1231 or (516) 640-1390.

Be entertained & do something good all at the same time.  Live performances, food, cocktails, live & silent auctions.  All funds raised from this event will go toward research to find a cure for brain cancer.

Many thanks to Dr. Rick Komotar, Neurosurgeon Extraordinaire, for telling me about this truly amazing organization!
