DIY Mole Mapping

DIY Mole Mapping

Get your Dr. to do a full body check 1-2x a year and also DO IT YOURSELF often!

It is estimated that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.  YIKES!  Fortunately, skin cancer is also one of the most preventable types of cancer and when caught early, skin cancer is highly treatable.  Skin cancer can develop anywhere on the skin and is one of the few cancers you can usually see with your own eyes.  By knowing the location of any birthmarks, moles & blemishes and what they usually look & feel like, you are more apt to notice any changes.

Check out the Body Mole Mapping from the American Academy of Dermatology to document your self-examination. Look for and track new growths, spots, bumps or patches.  Learn the ABC’s for funky moles.  And pay attention to sores that don’t heal within a couple of months.  See a doctor right away if you notice any changes!
